Barney Slowey said...: Hi Dan..I enjoyed your reflections and even though math was not my strong suit I would think I would thrive in the math class you describe..I feel so strongly about the use of Multiple Intelligences in classrooms that I can't fathom how anyone could fail a student if they aren't teaching to the students strong intelligence...95% of the kids we label "at risk" are bodily kinesthetic(sp?)learners...They can learn any thing we want to teach them if we teach them through those modalities...I have a ton of stuff on MI that i am willing to send to anyone that wants it...Also there are some great books that have many ways to use MI in the math classroom...One is called MI in the Math classroom or something like that...Check out thebrainstore.com for books on this and any other subject you are interested in...Let me know how I can help...barney; 7:19 AM
