Hi Betty...Glad to see you got on the blog ok...I sense that because you have such a small school the ideas in the book will relate very easily to you... I taught and was a principal at a very small school district (300 kids K12) for a while and found that kids couldn't get lost...I have to see how I can get to where you did the introduction...Have a great time with this class...Barney

Hi Dan..I enjoyed your reflections and even though math was not my strong suit I would think I would thrive in the math class you describe..I feel so strongly about the use of Multiple Intelligences in classrooms that I can't fathom how anyone could fail a student if they aren't teaching to the students strong intelligence...95% of the kids we label "at risk" are bodily kinesthetic(sp?)learners...They can learn any thing we want to teach them if we teach them through those modalities...I have a ton of stuff on MI that i am willing to send to anyone that wants it...Also there are some great books that have many ways to use MI in the math classroom...One is called MI in the Math classroom or something like that...Check out thebrainstore.com for books on this and any other subject you are interested in...Let me know how I can help...barney
